PartyGaming with third French agreement, Q1 figures
Besides the release of first quarter results of the company, PartyGaming’s announced their third B2B deal in France. PartyGaming has signed an exclusive multi-year contract, to deliver white-label online poker software to the Aviation Club de France (ACF), one of the most prestigious poker rooms and private clubs in France.
The new online poker service will bear the name ACFPoker, and will add to the French poker network of PartyGaming and will be promoted through the channels of ACF that has an extensive customer base of 100,000 members. Subject to the necessary license approvals, the network will benefit from a source of player liquidity, on a single platform for all online casino sites including Partypoker.fr, PMU and Lucky Jeux, the poker brand of the TV broadcasting AB-group.
Jim Ryan, CEO of PartyGaming said in an interview: “ACF is a great addition to our French poker network and allows us to directly connect with France’s offline poker players. This deal is a great strategic fit and together with our other B2B alliances in France, we are determined to establish a strong position in what we believe will become one of Europe’s largest poker markets.” The in 1907 founded by four French pilots ACF, currently has 100,000 members and is one of the leading poker rooms in France. The club is a regular host of the World Poker Tour event, recently acquired by PartyGaming, including the forthcoming Grand Prix de Paris 8 until 16 May, 2010.
In related news, PartyGaming announced an increase of 27% in revenue in the first quarter. The Group turnover rose to 127.1 million dollar in the period, with the improvement due to strong growth in the sectors: casino, bingo and sports betting. Casino revenue increased 25% to 52.1 million dollars. Poker revenue dropped, largely by competition from rival casino online sites.
