December 29th, 2009

An online casino, yet to be identified has voluntarily offered to repay approximitly 422.000 pounds to an Uppsala company. A female employee stole almost 1.25 million pounds from the company and invested it in her gambling addiction on the unnamed online casino site. Its the first time ever this has happened.

This is an agreement between the Swedish company and the unnamed internet casino site, after it was proven the women, who worked at the financial department of the firm, gambled away almost 1.25 million pounds in the last year. The women suffers from compulsive gambling, and stole so much from the company, it reported losses and needed to fire employees, in what would’ve been a profitable year otherwise. The women is sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of more then 810.000 pounds.  The action by the casino is met with shock and awe by bystanders, its the first time this happened they say. In a testimony the women said she lost 62.500 pounds on one night, while the rules on the site stated it was not allowed to lose more than 2.251 pounds in 24 hours. The gaming company understood it was wrong and paid back the company.
