Compulsive Gambler Joran van der Sloot confesses extorsion

The 23-year-old Joran van der Sloot from holland confessed yesterday evening in an interview with the Dutch crime reporter John van den Heuvel in an extra show that he was guilty of extorting money from the family of Natalee Holloway to pay his gambling addiction and said he was lured to Peru by a poker player and the FBI to play in a poker tournament.

In the interview, the extremely nervous and stuttering Joran van der Sloot told how he would spend his days in casinos around the world, to forget the hectics around the Natalee Holloway. Next the infamous Dutch poker player confessed that he had extorted the family of Natalee Holloway for a lot of money by offering them false evidence about the case of Natalee Holloway. Joran said: “Her parents made the last five years of my life miserable. When they offered to pay me for the location of the girl, I thought, why not? I now regret that decision.” Joran made a video tape in which he and his father talked about the murder, which has been exchanged for cash and the rest was transferred to his bank account, it turned out that Joran also played the role of his father on the tape.

Joran is seen in the interview as a heartless problem gambler who will do anything to finance his addiction to the casino gambling game. According to Joran, he was invited by the Albanian poker player Elton Garcia to a poker tournament in Peru, for this he left Aruba. Joran believes this was done in collaboration with the FBI, so he could be extradited to America easier, Aruba has no extradition arrangements with the U.S.. In Peru Joran was a steady gambler in the casinos of Atlantic City casino where he played poker. Here he met Stephany Flores, who later was found dead in Joran’s hotel room in Lima. Joran is now awaiting his trial in the Castro Castro prison in Peru, pending his trial, he thus far claims to be innocence of the murder of two girls he met at casinos. It may be years before the case actually goes to court, Joran also said he expects to spend a long time in jail and plans to confess what happened to the judge.
